Elizabeth emigrated from Ireland to Canada. She wed Samuel Lyons on August 22, 1831 at Bytown (now Ottawa). They farmed in Goulbourn Township all their married lives and were the parents of about 15 children, including one set of twins -- Ann, Agnes, Sarah, Elizabeth, Margaret, Thomas, Matilda, William, Jane, another Thomas, Samuel Jr., Mary, Hugh, and John. Elizabeth died of "general debility" at age 60.
