May Neer, 83, of Littleton, died Monday (Feb. 4, 2008) at New Martinsville Health Care Center.
She was born Sept. 8, 1924, at St. Leo, a daughter of the late Noah William and Georgia Lenora Watson Wright.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, three sisters, four half brothers, two half sisters and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles David Neer; one brother, Denzil Ray Wright; one half brother, Howard Wright; and one half sister, Mary Spencer.
May had worked at the Winter Garden Restaurant in Mannington. She also worked as a housekeeper and nanny for several families in the area. She then moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where she was employed by the Kay Machine Shop. She retired with 35 years of service. She was a homemaker who enjoyed yard work, gardening and quilting. She was a Christian by Faith.
Friends may call at the Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Steve Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery.
