CAMPBELL – Willey G. Babb, 72, of Route 1, Box 96 Campbell died Monday in a Commerce hospital.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at the First United Methodist Church here with the Revs. Francis Sale and Kenny Hovland officiating. Burial will be in Brigham Cemetery.

Born Oct. 9, 1910 in Lone Oak, he was the son of Mancil and Edna Smith Babb. He was married to Fama Reynolds Aug. 13, 1939 in Oklahoma City. A retired construction worker, Mr. Babb was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Campbell.

Surviving are his wife of Commerce; son, Paul Babb of Fort Worth and Jimmy Babb of Rockwall; daughter, Ruth Tyler of Hutchinson Kan.; brothers, Dean Babb of Campbell and Edwin Babb of San Francisco, Calif; sister Blanche Shrewer of Emory; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Dale Hovland, Pat Garrett, Buck Hudson, Danny Gossett, H.P. Smith and James Slimmons (sic). Members of the Men’s Sunday School Class will be honorary pallbearers.

Jones Funeral Home of Commerce is in charge of arrangements.
