Fuji Musician Sunny T. Adesokan Is Dead-

Death again hit the Nigerian entertainment scene on Sunday as Lagos-based fuji artiste, Sunny T Adesokan, passed on.

The musician nicknamed Actor Jordan occupied a unique place in the fuji genre as he was the only known Igbo man that convincingly practised it.

He died at over 40 years of age on Sunday morning after what his associates described as a brief illness.

According to his long-term promoter, Mr. Tunji Sarumi, otherwise called Saroj, Sunny performed in Epe, on the outskirts of Lagos, on Friday.

The proprietor of Eruowa Records is quoted in a media report as saying that the artiste, whose last album, Capable, was released in 2011, was healthy until the early hours of Sunday when he complained of cold.

His condition was said to have later degenerated.

He was said to have been rushed to a hospital in Ikeja where he later died.

Notable fuji artistes, Wasiu Pasuma, and Alao Malaika, described the death as a big blow to the Nigerian entertainment industry.
