J. B. FLICKINGER DEAD

J. B. Flickinger died last night at 10 o'clock at his rooms on East Sixth avenue of pneumonia. He has been sick something like two weeks, first taking down with the grip. He was on the road to recovery and was able to be around some, but suffered a relapse, which rapidly developed into pneumonia.

Mr. Flickinger was a bachellor (sic). He had lived in Emporia for about fifteen years and was very well known. About four years ago he started on the road as a cigar salesman, and some time ago, went into partnership with Mr. Kendig, started the Emporia Wholesale Cigar Company. He has two brothers and two sisters. They are R. Flickinger, of Strong City, Lizzie Horst, of Topeka, Henry Flickinger, of Sheridan, Pennsylvania, and Mrs. Anna Millinger, of Neosho Rapids.

A telegram from relatives in the East, states that they will come hear (sic) to attend the funeral. It is not certain as to the time of their arrival and the time for the funeral will not be set until they are again heard from. The services will not be before Thursday.

The Emporia Weekly Republican gave the same information but gave his first name as "Jacob."
