Charles Henry Land (1847-1922) was a dentist and the grandfather of Charles Augustus Lindbergh (1902-1974) the aviator. Charles Henry Land was known as the father of porcelain and gold crowns. (b. 1847; Simcoe, Norfolk, Ontario, Canada - d. 4 August 1922; Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan, USA)

John Scott Land (1821-1892), who was born in Simcoe, Norfolk, Ontario, Canada; and Sarah Ellen Hayden (1825-1851)

Marriage:
He married Evangeline Lodge (1850-?) in 1875.

Children:
He had the following children: Evangeline Lodge Land (1876-1954) who married Charles August Lindbergh I (1859-1924); and Charles Henry Land II (1879-after1954). The family appears in the 1880 US census living in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan with Henry I working as a dentist. Also in the household is his wife's brother Charles Lodge (1853-after1880) who worked as a druggist. The family had a servant: Rosa Wagner (1859-after1880).

Dr. Charles Henry Land. Detroit, Michigan; August 3, 1922. Dr. Charles Henry Land, internationally known for his inventions and research work in dentistry, died at his home here early to-day. He was the inventor of the gold and porcelain inlay system. He was seventy-five years old and had practiced dentistry fifty-eight years.
