He resided in Dover, Kent County, Delaware prior to the war.

He was originally interred in Europe and his remains were transport on the U.S.A.T. Cantigny from Belgium to New York City where they arrived in 1921.

His next of kin was his sister, Mrs Priscilla Jackson, who resided in Dover, Delaware.
