Robert "Bob" Hood Watson, age 74, died at Shannondale Retirement Center in Maryville, Tenn., on July 9, 2012, following a stroke. He was born on August 16, 1937, in Maryville, Tenn. He lived his early life in Maryville, attended Maryville High School and Maryville College. He is survived by his wife, Ann Newcomer Watson; his sister, Natha Lynn Watson Black, her husband Ronald Black; his children, Lauren Watson Williamson, her husband Tony Williamson, and Michael Watson, his wife Melissa Watson; and his grandchildren, Nathaniel Watson, Melinda Williamson, Rob Williamson, Jacqueline Watson, Grant Watson. Receiving of friends will held from noon until 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, with memorial service to follow at 2 p.m. at New Providence Presbyterian Church 703 W. Broadway Ave., Maryville, TN.
