Mrs. Mary A Trotter Thomason was born in Wayne county, Illinois, April 18, 1869 and died at her home near Essex, Missouri in Trotter vicinity, October 3, 1928, age 59 years, --- months and 15 days.
She came to this community with her parents when she was twenty years of age and spent the remaining of her life here.
She was married to Louie turner Thomason September 16, 1891. To this union six children were born, three of whom with her husband have passed on, and three were with her when the end came. Totia and Louie who lived with her and Willie of Trumann, Ark.
Besides these three children she leaves two brothers, Elias Trotter of Boyleston, Illinois and Anderson Trotter of Weiner, Arkansas, five grandchildren and other relatives and a host of friends who will always remember her.
She professed religion at the age of fourteen and joined the Missionary Baptist church near her home in Illinois. She did not move her membership when she came to Trotter vicinity as there was no Missionary Baptist church near. But she never ceased to give up the Christian Faith in and has helped support the ..... in her community.
The home has lost a loving mother a community a good citizen. Her life will long live in the memory of her loved ones and friends and her words and good deeds will never be forgotten.
