Pamela Rae (Huth) Mercer, 64, of Alliance, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at 4:15 a.m. at her home, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on August 24, 1947 in Barberton, OH, she lived in Alliance most of her life.
She was a 1965 graduate of Barberton High School and she received a degree in Journalism from Ohio State University.
Pamela retired from the Alliance City Schools. She had previously been employed at the Alliance Review.
In her past-time, she enjoyed sewing, baking, reading and family vacations to the beach.
Survivors include Allen "Ace" Mercer of the home; a daughter, Alicia (Brent) Kuntzman of Alliance; a step-son, David Mercer of Port Angeles, WA; a daughter-in-law, Angela Mercer of Mesa, AZ; five grandsons, Seth & Trystin Mercer, Gage, Lukas & Max Kuntzman; two granddaughters, Candace & Ashley Mercer; a sister, Kathy Huth of Barberton, OH; a nephew, Bob Lee; and several other nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her step-son, Todd Mercer; her parents, William and Lucille Huth; and a brother, Ken Huth.
As per Pamela's wishes, cremation has taken place with her interment at Fairmount Memorial Park.
