Mr. LaPrarie, a native of Avoyelles Parish, resided in Ferriday for the past eight years. He had been employed at Pasternack's Hardware in Ferriday and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ferriday.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mabel LaPrarie, of Ferriday; one son, Jerry LaPrarie, of New Orleans; one daughter, Jan Marie LaPrarie; his mother, Mrs. O. E. DeLoach, of Delhi; two brothers, Mr. Dan LaPrarie and Mr. Allen LaPrarie, both of Delhi; one sister, Mrs. Marie Collins, of Birmingham, Ala.; one grandchild, Terry LaPrarie.
Pallbearers will be W. L. Crum, George Perry, Boatner Swayze, Jack Adams, Woodie Davis, H. L. Irvin.
