Funeral services for Herman B. LaPrarie, 53, of Ferriday, are scheduled for 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Comer Funeral Home of Ferriday. Mr. LaPrarie died Friday night after a long illness.

Officiating at the services will be the Rev. M. H. Fields, assisted by the Rev. C. E. Pickens and the Rev. Gordon Finley. Burial will follow in the Tooley Cemetery at Eva.

Mr. LaPrarie, a native of Avoyelles Parish, resided in Ferriday for the past eight years. He had been employed at Pasternack's Hardware in Ferriday and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ferriday.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mabel LaPrarie, of Ferriday; one son, Jerry LaPrarie, of New Orleans; one daughter, Jan Marie LaPrarie; his mother, Mrs. O. E. DeLoach, of Delhi; two brothers, Mr. Dan LaPrarie and Mr. Allen LaPrarie, both of Delhi; one sister, Mrs. Marie Collins, of Birmingham, Ala.; one grandchild, Terry LaPrarie.

Pallbearers will be W. L. Crum, George Perry, Boatner Swayze, Jack Adams, Woodie Davis, H. L. Irvin.
