EDENFIELD James Edenfield, 68, passed away peacefully at home on September 2, 2010, with his family by his side. He was born August 16, 1942, to Jim and Florence Edenfield in Jesup, Georgia. He graduated from Odum High School and the Sheet Metal Workers Apprenticeship program in Jacksonville. He worked for Ferber Sheet Metal until his retirement 6 years ago. He also retired from the Florida Air National Guard.

Survivors include his children: John D. Edenfield, of Jacksonville, FL, Carol E. Overall (Brett), of Sanford, FL and Susan E. Roscoe (Keith) of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Lindsey, Hayley and John D. Edenfield all of Jacksonville, FL, Chanse Overall, Sanford, FL and Katie and William Roscoe of Jacksonville, FL. He is also survived by 4 sisters, Mrs. Ramona Johns, Jacksonville, FL, Mrs. Frankie Rowland (Hubert) of Arlington, TX, Mrs. Boots Mains of Jacksonville, FL and Mrs. Onaira Youngblood of Jesup, GA; also surviving are many nieces and nephews, including Mike Woodard of Jesup, GA and James Hazouri of Jacksonville, FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters and 1 brother.

A graveside celebration of his life will be held at New Hope Church in Jesup at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to: Community Hospice of N.E. Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257. Our family wishes to offer special thanks to hospice nurse Christie for her excellent care James received during his final days.
