WILLIAM THOMAS " PUNKY" DAVID, 66, of Bellville, died Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Mifflin Care Center.

Born December 25, 1945, he was the son of Fred and Myrth (Schrack) David. A graduate of Madison High School, William worked for Shiloh Tool & Die and was a veteran of the US Army. A truck driver for B & P, Carolina Freight and retired from ABF.. . He was a member of the VFW on Grace St. and the American Legion and AMVETS of Bellville. William enjoyed camping at Lake Maria and the Huron River as well as fishing, boating, and water skiing. He also loved his dog, Taffy.

He is survived by his wife, Antoinette (Goetz) David; children, Anthony Allen David and Brian Frederick (Lisa) David; step children, Art (Crissy) Pritchard and Kelley (Kirby) Moore; grandchildren, Dakota Allen David, Montana Adam David, Corey Thomas David, and Brock Casey David; step grandchildren, Kirsten and Kira Moore, Skylar and Noah Pritchard; brothers, Harold (Lee) Gilbert and Pete (Sharon) Wood; sister, Alma (Sam) Mehl; brother-in-law, Larry (Ann) Goetz; sister-in-law, Shelley (Eric) Radijcsics ; One Aunt: Ilene Jennings, Shelbyville,Indiana; Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, Art and Mary(Johnson)Goetz, George and Viola (Davis) Wiley, Sister-in-law; Amy Foster. Many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday, July 12, 2012 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 13, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home conducted by the Rev. Lee Thomas. Military graveside services conducted by the Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Squad will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association and the Alzheimer's Association.
