Wallace Eugene Taylor was born in Senath, Missouri, 26 Apr 1900, the son of William S Taylor and Ella Caneer Taylor, later of Gibson County, TN. He had 3 known older siblings, Mary Taylor (Stewart), Sarah Myrtice Taylor, and Herschal A Taylor.

He married Myrtle C Fly in 1920 in Gibson County, TN. The 1930 Tennessee census shows they had a daughter, Eleanor Taylor, age 8. It also shows mother-in-law Elizabeth living with them.

His death certificate shows he fought in WWI and that he was a retired letter carrier. He died in Texarkana, Texas on 4 May 1973 and was buried in East Memorial Gardens, Texarkana, Arkansas. He was 73.
