Alice L. Chalfa, of North Bend (formerly of Issaquah), passed away at home on July 8, 2012. She was 84 years of age.
Alice was born on December 18, 1927 in Seattle, the daughter of Ross and Bertha Hayne. She was raised in Seattle and graduated from West Seattle High School in 1946. She married Jack Chalfa on April 28, 1962 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. They moved to Issaquah in 1963 and then to North Bend in 1982.
She worked for the US Navy, HQ 14th Naval District, Pearl Harbor, HI and HQ 13th Naval District in Seattle and for 33 years. She retired as passenger manager for the Western United States.
Survivors include her loving husband Jack Chalfa of North Bend.
