John Joseph Pitsch 76, died July 8, 2012 at the Manor House Care Center in Sigourney. He was born March 18, 1936 to John Lillig and Lucina T. Hein Pitsch in Ottumwa, Iowa. He attended Conner Country School #5 and Sigourney High School. He lived and farmed at the family farm. Joe moved into Sigourney in the 1970's and was employed at Kingsbury Homes, St. Mary Catholic Church and later with Leo Yeager at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. He had made his home at the Manor House since 2010. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, brother Herbert Pitsch, and sister Betty Ferguson.

He is survived by his mother Lucinia, brother Robert(Joanne)Pitsch of Sigourney, and 8 nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service: 10:30 am Friday St. Mary Catholic Church. Visitation : 5-7 pm Thursdaay at the Holm Funeral Home. Prayer Service: 5 pm Wednesday at the Holm Funeral Home. Burial; Pleasant Grove Cemetery Sigourney. Memorials maybe given.
