Died Thursday evening October 7, 1999. Mr. Lumbard was born July 15, 1931 in Foley Minnesota a son of Corodon and Nellie (Reed) Lumbard. During the Korean Conflict, he served with the U.S. Army. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of his life and owned Lumbard Construction for 30 years, retiring in 1976. He was a lifetime member of the Comstock V.F.W. Post #6252 and the American Legion in Mitchell, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers; an infant sister; and an infant son, Daile Lee in 1954. On November 9, 1951 he was united in marriage to Joyce M. (Ammerman) Lumbard who survives. Also surviving, a son, Charles Lumbard of Muskegon; a daughter, Patti Lumbard of Kalamazoo; 5 grandchildren, Valerie Ann, Victoria, Casey, Caleb, and Chazlyn; 5 brothers and sisters, Clarence (Delores) Lumbard of Gun Lake, Ralph (Jean) Lumbard of Mesick,MI, and Lester (Elnora) Lumbard, Juanita (Fred) Shank, and Lyle (Donna) Lumbard all of Kalamazoo; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held 11 o'clock Tuesday from the

with Pastor Pete Terburg officiating. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 pm Monday. Interment will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery with full military honors. Memorials may be directed to the Michigan Diabetes Association.
