History and Genealogy of the Collins Family of Caroline Co VA has some records cited but some of it is not accurate. I think the Thomas Collins who bound himself to Mordecai Redd in this book was my Thomas Collins who was the son of Thomas Collins and Elizabeth Barbee, widow of Thomas Redd. Mordecai Redd was his half brother and in 1764 in Spotsylvania Co VA, Mordecai Redd became the guardian of Thomas and Elizabeth Barbee Redd Collins two sons Thomas and William.
