Elaine was born in Macon to the late James Henry Ezzell and Hazel Land Ezzell. She was employed with the Medical Center of Central Georgia for 27 years and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Elaine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, and she loved to travel. She was preceded in death by her husband, "Herbie" Virgil Ford; and brother, James Ezzell.
Elaine is survived by her daughters, Shannon Wagner (Marc) of Musella, and Kimberly Pruitt (Nathan) of Forsyth; grandchildren, Brandon "Virgil" Hudgins, Brittany Nixon, and Cole Pruitt; great grandchild, Bryce Nixon; siblings, Jesse Ezzell, Mitzi Taylor (Doug), Curtis Ezzell (Bonnie), Marion Ezzell, Evelyn Beaver (Daniel), and Yvonne Ezzell; and many other relatives.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 P.M. Wednesday at Crest Lawn.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Bethel Baptist Church. The Reverend Paul Whitton will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
