John and Mary had two sons and at least three daughters: Henry, Mary, James, Lulu and Alice. Their son, Henry "H.L.B." Roach of Henrietta, Texas, was a stone and brick contractor, and at one time there were many buildings in that town built by him. John died in Henrietta and is buried there.
H.L.B. Roach moved to Oklahoma and his widowed mother joined him there and later died in a Masonic home. She is buried in Highland Cemetery in Pawnee, as is her son, H.L.B.
