Edward Aarnink, 62 years old, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Hazel Sholl, 19 South Sixteenth Street, at 5:20o'clock Sunday afternoon. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Hazel Sholl; one brother, John; one sister, Mrs. Fred Schopmeyer, Poland, Ind, and one grand daughter, Miss Georgia Sholl. The body was taken to the Gillis funeral parlors, from where funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Continued services will be held at 2:30 o'clock at the Zion Reformed church at Poland. Burial will be in the Poland cemetery.

Edward was the son of German immigrants George and Elizabeth Huckreide Aarnink. In 1889 he married Anna C. Sonnefield in Clay County, IN. Edward and his brother, John Franklin Aarnink owned much land in Clay County and were successful farmers. Eventually they both retired and moved to Terre Haute in Vigo County, Indiana, about 30 miles west of Poland, Indiana.
