She married Leroy Wayne Boyts on January 28, 1945.
Marjorie and Wayne traveled extensively and were avid bridge players.
Both Marjorie and Wayne took up painting when they retired.
They were married 53 years; Wayne died in 1998.
Marjorie entered the Women's Reserve of the Navy during World War II.
She was commissioned as an Ensign in the Navy after graduating from training at Smith College, North Hampton, Mass.
She completed Officers Indoctrination and graduated from Fleet Service School in Norfolk, Va., after studying radio, radar and sonar.

Mother was an avid reader of mysteries, a talented seamstress and an excellent cook.
In retirement, she cherished her time spent painting watercolors.
Throughout her life, mother always was there for her family.
We will miss her greatly and love her always.
