Anna Faustgen was born in Oshkosh, Winnebago County, Wisconsin on September 24, 1877. Her parents were Peter and Annie Tholl Faustgen, both born in Germany. By 1895, the Faustgens had moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota. Anna met and married Frank Kort in Minneapolis on September 14, 1897. Frank was a teamster, and they lived on Broadway NE. In 1903, Anna and Frank had their only child, Marie.
Frank continued working as a teamster until 1908, when he was hired by the Minneapolis Police Department. Frank kept his position with the department until he retired after 20 years, in 1928. Frank then took a job as a railroad detective. Anna and Frank lived at 2806 Ulysses Northeast. Frank died there on January 2, 1948. Anna was still living there when she died on December 1, 1966. Both Anna and Frank are buried at Saint Anthony Cemetery on Central Avenue in Northeast Minneapolis.
