Myrna Eileen Canterbury

Myrna Eileen Canterbury, age 70, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2012. Myrna was born on January 26, 1942, in Leavenworth, WA to Orville and Ruth Thomas. She graduated from Eastmont High School in 1960. She spent her life in the Wenatchee Valley and married her soul mate of 37 years on October 4, 1975. Myrna worked at JC Stitching Post for a period of time. She also owned and operated her own business, Hickory Farms, from 1988 to 1994. Many of Myrna's happiest memories came from bringing her family together to celebrate the love that they shared. Myrna's passions included beachcombing at Fort Worden, camping with family and friends, reading, taking care of her roses, making sugar cookies at Christmas, quilting with the Rowdy Girls, and sewing pajama bottoms for all of her grandchildren.
Myrna is survived by her husband, Jim Canterbury of Wenatchee; children, Tom (Shelley) Canterbury, Kelli Canterbury (Teka Parks), Kim (Mark) Kramer, Kristin (Will) Brands and Karla Morrison; grandchildren, Tandi, Lauren, Alex, Nate, Jack, Austin, Nick, Adam, Caroline and Aaron; brothers, Ed Thomas and Ron Thomas; and sister, Linda Brashear.
A Memorial Service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, June 18, 2012, at Jones & Jones~Betts Memorial Chapel, with Interment following at Evergreen Memorial Park. A reception will follow, with the location to be announced at service.
