Mr. Anderson was born in Grand Valley, Colo. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 30 years, serving as a medic in WWII and during the Korean War. He went back to work as an insurance agent with Farmer's Insurance in Ridgecrest after his military retirement and work until his retirement. He had been a Ridgecrest resident since 1968.

Anderson was a life member of the VFW, a life member of Fleet Reserve, life memeber of American Legion, a life memeber of the Elks, and a member of the Masonic Lodge. In later years, he as an active member of Desert Christian Center, participating actively in the House of Bread food ministry, which assists those in need. He was also active in PACT, with over eight years of dedicated service as a volunteer.

"He was full of life and full of love, with a twinkle in his eye. He loved his family. He was a gift from God to us and will be deeply missed, but we know he is now with his Heavenly Father."

He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Anderson; mother, Alice Anderson; brother, Donald Anderson; grandson, Robbie Leape; and first wife, Doris Anderson.

Anderson is survived by his wife, Patricia Anderson of Ridgecrest;
Daughters, Carol Apt of Ridgecrest, Terry and her husband Pete May of Missouri, Patti and husband Bill Tongate of Ridgecrest, Gwen and husband Kevin Johnson of Jamestown;
Brother, Dale and his wife Louise Anderson of Washington;
Brother-in-law, James Warner of Ridgecrest;
Mother-in-law, Erma Warner of Ridgecrest;
11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews and friends.
