Jeffery S. Church, 50, of Rockland, Wisconsin, died peacefully Saturday, April 23, 2011 at his home. He was born on July 30, 1960 in Sparta, WI, to Marlene Church. On April 27, 2006, he was united in marriage to Sheryl Walters Reed.
Jeff graduated from Sparta High School in 1978 and was enlisted in the Army from 1978-1984 when he was honorably discharged. He enjoyed over the road truck driving and owning his own truck. Jeff was a jack-of-all "most" trades. He found employment for many years in auto body work. He also was employed through Strupp, Trane Company, Webster Lumber, and his present job, Northern Engraving. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and enjoyed doing auto body work. Jeff was very faithful at camping every chance possible with his family and friends. He stood by his Toyota!
Jeff is survived by his wife, Sheryl of Rockland; his children, Melissa Walters, Amanda Church, and LCPL Joseph Church; four step-children, James (Heather) Reed, Jeremy (Lisa) Reed, Michelle Reed, and Marsha Reed; and 9 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marlene Church; uncle, David Church; aunt, Clarisse Wyatt; aunt and uncle, Al and Judy Heilman.
A memorial service was held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Lanham-Miller Funeral Home, Sparta, with Richard Krocka officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the VFW Post 2112. Family and friends were invited to call at Lanham-Miller Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5 p.m. until time of services. The Lanham-Miller Funeral Home of Sparta, assisted the family with arrangements.
