Son of Robert, Sen. Came to America 1838 with his parents. Farmer Wythe Township, Hancock Co., IL. Married April 6, 1859 Miss Jane Ann Watt. Had 7 children (6 living in 1880): Robert W., Charles D., John W., Jesse C., Jennie E., Maggie M. Owned 410 acres. Was killed Nov. 18, 1879 at Keokuk, Ia. by a switch engine, while crossing the R.R. tracks
