Brandi Nicole Doucet Skinner, 25, of Westlake died at 8:15 PM Sunday, Aug. 22, 2004, in an automobile accident.

Mrs. Skinner was born in Port Arthur, Texas, and lived most of her life in Westlake. She was a 1997 graduate of Westlake High School and attended McNeese State University, where she was a Cowgirl Kicker.

She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend and will be greatly missed in the hearts of those she touched. Brandi loved her family, was always laughing, very funny, full of life and dedicated her life to her husband and her children. Brandi knew and trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior.

John 11:25 — I am the Resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.

She is survived by her husband, Ryan Christopher Skinner of Westlake and formerly of Bridge City, Texas; one son, Cace David Skinner of Westlake; one daughter, Halle Grace Skinner of Westlake; her parents, David Morrison and Gwen Doucet Morrison of Westlake; paternal grandmother, Eleanor Morrison of Westlake; five sisters, Diana Ortego, her husband, Scott, and their children, Aaron and Alexaí of Sulphur, Pam Cradure, her husband, Paul, and their children, Jessica Pearson and Lindsey Cradure of Westlake, Kathy Cradure, her husband, John, and their children, Jonathan and Justin of Westlake, Debbie Crosby, her husband, Dennis, and their children, Courtney and Corey of Westlake; and Michelle Broussard, her husband, Joey, and their children, Jamie and Macy of Moss Bluff; and one brother, Keith McGee, his wife, Robin, and their children, Keith, Lance and Amber of Westlake.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Percy and Rosamae Doucet.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, in Trinity Baptist Church. The Rev. Steve James, Dr. Larry Thompson and the Rev. Monty Hanks will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral home. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Wednesday, with a Scripture service at 6:30 p.m., 8-9:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home and from 10 a.m. at the church.

The family request that donations be made to the children's programs of Trinity Baptist Church, 1800 Country Club Road, Lake Charles, LA 70605.

Pall Bearers will be Kyle Skinner, Kevin Skinner, Jonathan Cradure, Justin Cradure, Keith McGee, Lance McGee, Cory Crosby, Cody Trahan, Aaron Ortego, Todd Trahan, and Jamie Richard.
