Montcalm-Gaye Lena Scott, 82 of P.O. Box 205, Montcalm died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2001, at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield. Born April 10, 1918, in Montcalm, she was a daughter of the late Rev. David M. Scott and Nannie Mullin Scott. Miss Scott had been a resident of Montcalm for most of her life and was retired from the Internal Revenue Service in Washington, D.C. and Bluefield as a secretary with 35 years service. She had also worked for the Veterans Affairs, was a graduate of McComas High School and McClain's Business College and was an avid bingo player.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and Campbell Scott, and a sister Olive Conwell. Survivors include a sister, Lois Nichols of Montcalm, brother Edwin Scott of Cheseapake,Va: several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with the Rev. Jim Nichols and Dr. William D. Hasty officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens on the Courthouse Road, Princeton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 Friday.
