Krista Marie Crisp (nee: Crum), 53 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on July 7, 2012 following a lengthy illness.
Krista was born on March 11, 1959 in Williamson, West Virginia. She was raised the Lorain, Amherst area. She worked at the Lorain Ford Motor Company, Poly-case in Avon, and the Lear Corporation in Huron. She freely gave of her time to her nine grandchildren whom she adored. She loved country music and her many friends.
Survivors include her father Donald Crum of Amherst; daughters Kourtney Youngless of Amherst, Amy Dieckhoner of Fairview, Ashley Hardwick of Birmingham; her son Kody Eric Crum of Amherst; her sister Sharon Shaffer (nee: Crum); brothers Rodney Crum of Elyria and Jeffrey Todd of Amherst.
She was preceded in death by her sister Elizabeth Denise Marr (nee: Crum) in 1989 and her mother Emilee Sue Crum (nee: Neal) in 1998.
Friends may call Wednesday, July 11, 2012 from 9-11 a.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst, with the Rev. John Berglund officiating. Committal services will follow at Crownhill Cemetery, Amherst.
