LINCOLN - Candace Lee Barr Doty, 71, of Lincoln, formerly of both Benld/Lincoln, died at 12:22 p.m., on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at her son's residence in Middletown.

Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

She was born on Sunday, March 9 1941, in Mattoon, a daughter of Estel Edwin and Lydia Alleen Adair Barr.

She worked for Maple Ridge Nursing Home in Lincoln, for 13½ years until her retirement.

She loved the outdoors, camping, hunting, and she really loved fishing. She enjoyed baking and crossword puzzles.

Survivors include four sons, Tony Barr of Beason, Walter Martin of Hillsboro, Mark (Cynthia) Martin of Staunton, and Alexander Doty (Latosha Skelton-Doty) of Middletown; grandkids, Luke Barr of Beason, Darylan Barr of Bowling Brook, Valerie (Daniel) Pumphrey of Richlands, NC, Derek Martin (Nikki Hockett), Jaden and Makaela Martin of Hillsboro, Braden Grejtak, Codey and Dylan Martin all of Staunton, Whitney Gretjak (Mike Markezick) of Mt. Olive, Jordan Martin (Marty Forbes) of Benld, Alexander Doty and Kayden Skelton, Kendal Skelton-Doty all of Middletown; great-grandkids, Dalton, Jillian, Gwendolyn and Greer Martin, all of Hillsboro, Kolson Bruhn and Trent Markezich both of Mt. Olive, and Hunter Forbes of Benld, Sophie Pumphrey of Richlands, NC. Survivors include two sisters, Patricia Jones and Lisa Barr both of Hillsboro, along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, David, a daughter-in-law, Rene Barr, and her nephew, Rod Schleder.

Cremation rites have been accorded.
