John Beintema, 51, is Dead After Surgery

John S. Beintema, 51, a well- known resident of West Sayville died at Southside Hospital in Bay Shore shortly before six o'clock last night. He recently underwent surgery there and suffered a sudden relapse yesterday.
Mr. Beintema who conducted a dairy business on Montauk Highway for many years, was a member of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the West Sayville District and formerly served on the Sayville Board of Education. He was active with the Community Ambulance Company as well as with a number of civic groups in the community. He served with a citizens group that recently persuaded Suffolk County to acquire the Hard estate as a county park .
Funeral arrangements had not been made when this edition weal to press.
