Peacefully at Hannah Walker Place in Owen Sound, on Wednesday morning, January 27th, 2010. Earl Kitchener Laycock, of Owen Sound and formerly of Woodford, at the age of 93 years. Dearly beloved husband of the late Freda Laycock (nee Crawford). Earl will be sadly missed by his sister-in-law, Phyllis McNeil and her husband, Glen, of Owen Sound and his seven nephews, Keith (Jodi) Laycock, Garth Laycock, Jim (Melanie) Laycock, Monty (Karrie) Laycock, Donn (Connie) Bowden, Bev (Irene) Bowden, Doug (Lorraine) Carmichael and his two nieces, June (Ken) Cunningham and Muriel (Bob) Boyes. Predeceased by his parents, Charles and Albertha Laycock; his brothers, Howard and Gordon Laycock; his sisters, Lila Carmichael and her husband, Neil, Violet Bowden and her husband, Percy, Eva Boyes and her husband, Frank; his five nephews, Earl and Bruce Carmichael, Murray and Gordon Boyes and Ken Bowden and his niece, Doris Carmichael. A Funeral Service for Earl Laycock will be held in the Chapel of the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K – 3X8 ( 519-376-7492 ) on Monday afternoon, February 1st, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Kristal McGee officiating. Visitation one hour prior to service. Spring interment in McLean's Cemetery, Bognor.
