CHATSWORTH - The Funeral Of Clifford "Cliff" M. Sterrenberg, 71, Chandler, Ariz., formerly of Chatsworth, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Chatsworth.
The Rev. Emil Bartos will officiate. Burial will be in Germanville Cemetery, rural Chatsworth.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Culkin-Diggle Funeral Home, Chatsworth, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Sterrenberg died at 10:33 a.m. Wednesday (Aug. 29, 1990) in Chandler.

He was born May 25, 1919, in Charlotte Township, a son of Lewis J. and Golda Foreman Sterrenberg. He married Joan E. Grosenbach on Aug. 10, 1940, in Chatsworth. She survives.

Other survivors include one son, James F., and one daughter, Judy Michel, both of Phoenix, Ariz.
One daughter and one brother preceded him in death.
Mr. Sterrenberg attended the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, and graduated from Parks Air College, St. Louis.

As a civilian, he was employed by the Army Air Corps during World War II as a flight instructor to teach English and French air cadets.

Before moving to Chandler, Mr. Sterrenberg had farmed in Charlotte Township. He had been a former corporate pilot for Honegger's Inc., Fairbury, and after moving to Chandler, was a flight instructor at Rhodell Aviation in Phoenix.

He gave aerobatic flight lessons and restored antique aircraft as a hobby.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
