OBITUARY:

Lenora Abbott Fortner

Lenora Colontine Abbott, daughter of L.J. and Priscilla Ann Abbott, was born in Tallapoose County, Alabama on Dec. 29, 1857. She departed this life Feb. 15, 1945 at the age of 87 years, one month and 17 days.

She was married to William Ansel Fortner on Dec. 24, 1876, who preceded her in death in March 1920. To this union nine children were born, four dying in infancy and one son, Commodore, dying in 1938.

She leaves to mourn her departure: one son, Lewis Homer, and three daughters, Mrs. Alice Moorhead of Pratt, Kans., Mrs. Anna George of Bloom, Kass., and Mrs. Minnie Asher of Stafford at whose home the deceased passed away; also eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Services were conducted Sunday afternoon, Feb. 18, in the Peacock and Soice Memorial Chapel. Rev. W. G. White of Belpre was in charge. Interment in the Stafford Cemetery.
