ANSTEY, Carl Hover - 76, Dartmouth, passed away May 26, 2005, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Twillingate, NL, he was a son of the late Cecil and Mary Anne (Young) Anstey. Carl served in the Canadian Armed Forces where he met his wife of 52 years, Theresa (Hanlon). After leaving the forces Carl went into a career in sales until he retired. Carl was a very loving and devoted father. Along with his wife, Carl is survived by his son, Michael (Cindy), Memphis, Tenn.; daughters, Nora Anstey, Saint John, N.B.; Carol Anstey, Lawrencetown; Cynthia MacKinnon, Mineville; sisters, Joan (Lester) Sharpe, Audrey Howell, both of Twillingate, NL; grandchildren, Christopher Anstey, Yvette Allaby, Genessca Beals, Christine Anstey, Daniel Anstey; five great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth. Memorial service will be held Saturday, May 28, at 11 a.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, Flying Cloud Drive, Father Patrick Cosgrove officiating. Interment in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory of Carl may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
