Daughter of Philip McCloskey and Julia Ann Reynolds McWherter. Wife of Samuel Shubert, married 11 FEB 1875 in Missouri.

~~~~~~~
Marella [sic] McCloskey Shubert was born June 17, 1857, and died at her home in Edina March 18, 1905. She was married to Samuel Shubert Feb. 11th, 1875. To this union four children were born, all of whom are living. Sister Shubert was greatly afflicted for a long time before her death.
She displayed much courage upon her couch of pain as ever soldiers did on field of battle, her suffering is now over and we trust she is at rest forevermore.
Sister Shubert professed faith in Christ before she passed away.
Let us hope that she is with her Savior waiting and watching for the loved ones left behind.
To those who weep we would say be faithful, the call will soon come.
The funeral service was held at the home last Saturday afternoon by Rev. J. L. Weatherford in the presence of a large number of neighbors and friends. The remains were buried in the Linville cemetery.—J. L. W.
