Maybelle Carroll Ross, age 74, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at her residence.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ross will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, July 8, 2012 in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home in Clayton with the Reverend Lloyd Hargis officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
She was a native of Johnston County and the daughter of the late George Mack Carroll and Lilley Irene Batten Carroll.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Newett E. Ross in 2009.
She is survived by her two children; son, John W. Ross and wife Shelia Ross and daughter, Cynthia Gail Ray; five grandchildren, Heather, Brandy, Sarah, Indy, and Marissa; five great grandchildren; and sister, Magadalene Allton.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the funeral home.
