Mr. Coye "Bulldog" Roberson, 49, of 3284 Andy Hicks Road, Banner Elk, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2004, in the Johnson City Medical Center after an unexpected illness.
He was born Nov. 23, 1954, in Long Beach, Calif., the son of Coye D. Roberson and the late Ica Mabel Hicks.
Mr. Roberson worked as a welder before becoming disabled.
He proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of the Christian Motorcyclist Association Peacemakers Chapter in Boone. He enjoyed motorcycle riding and doing God's work.
Survivors include his wife, Marianne Sneddon of Banner Elk; two daughters, Jerica Roberson of San Diego, Calif. and Jessica Goodwater of Boone, N.C.; two sons, Jeremy Roberson of San Diego, Calif. and Robert Goodwater of Colorado Springs, Colo.; his father, Coye D. Roberson of Hemet, Calif.; two sisters; three brothers; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Jeff Benfield and Dewey Cole.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Roberson was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby McGrew.
At Mr. Roberson's request, no services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Christian Motorcyclists Association, 8097 Old Linville Road, Marion, N.C. 28752.
