"VALENTINE. Mrs. Mary G. Valentine, widow of Jacob Valentine, died at her home in Washington Township, Thursday afternoon, February 24th, at 2 o'clock of infirmities due to old age. Mrs. Valentine was born in Washington Township, October 20, 1936, and was a daughter of Obitha and Elizabeth Harman Gessells. The family is known by the name of Sells. Mrs. Valentine is survived by one son, John Valentine, and two daughterrs, Mrs. Sara Elizabeth Henry, at home, and Cora G. Valentine, an attendant in the hospital ward in the Athens Institution, also four grandchildren. Of her immediate family, deceased leaves four sisters, namely: Mrs. Eliza Shank, of Kansas; Mrs. Elizabeth Joy, of Union Furnace; Mrs. Catherine Campbell, of Logan and Mrs. Sara Wrizler, of Archibald, Ohio; also two brothers, Alph Sells, of Logan, and Israel Sells, of Striker, Ohio. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from Zion Lutheran Cemetery near Stoutsville, Rev. Mr. Shoffer officiating."
