William Shelton died between 1840 and 1850 in Bollinger County, Missouri. It is believed William is laid to rest in the Dry Creek Cemetery in Bollinger County, Missouri, although a grave stone has not been located.
After William's death, Elizabeth lived with son Elijah Joseph and his family. She died sometime between 1860 and 1870 in Bollinger County and it is believed that she was also laid to rest in the Dry Creek Cemetery, which is across the road from Elijah Joseph Shelton's homestead property. (Again, a gravestone has not been located.)
