Her family owned and operated a propane gas company and ice cream shop for several years in Elsberry and a gift shop. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Elsberry.
"Funeral service was on Friday at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 South Fifth Street, Elsberry. Burial was at the Elsberry City Cemetery.
"Among survivors are a son, Dale E. Ligon of Elsberry; a daughter, Sandra Lee Weber of Kirksville, Mo.; a sister, Mary Kirkhart of Elsberry; and three grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren
"Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 South Fifth Street, Elsberry, Mo. 63343."
