Mr. DeForest, aged eighty-two years, who lived on the corner of West and Lake Streets, Litchfield, did January 26. He had been sick and a great sufferer for several months for dropsy and heart trouble. He leaves a wife and three sons, George of Ansonia, Willard of New Haven and Richard of Litchfield, and a daughter, Mrs. Charles Moore of Amenia. Mr. DeForest was a carpenter by trade, although it has been several years since he was able to work.
