It is possible that Buford Z. Dyer died in Madison, TN in June, 1972. Research is being done to determine if this is our B.Z.Dyer.

Buford married Zula Gilmore. In 1980 Dyer History Book, written by Watson B. Dyer, Buford lived in West Point, MS. where he was a successful businessman, electrical contracting, appliance, furniture business, real estate.

Buford and his wife had two sons. One of them, name not known, died as a child. The other son, Buford Homer Dyer, was a partner with his father in the appliance and furniture business. This son was married and had two children. END

It is believed that the 3 children pictured with Buford and Martha are: Emily May [1902]; Buford Z. [1904]; and Baby Hubert I. E. "Edward" [1906]. Their next child was born in 1908, so that could make the children in this picture ages 6, 4, 2, give or take a few months.
