Jackson, TN - David C. Williams, 78, retired heavy-equipment operator, died Monday morning of respiratory failure at his home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home with burial in Parkburg Cemetery in Madison County.
He was a member of the Parkburg Baptist Church in Madison County. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Mr. Williams leaves five daughters, Carol Wells of Brownsville and Debra Burris of Belleville, Mich., Patricia Williams of Long Island, N.Y., and Vicky Hays and Teresa Singleton, both of Jackson; two sons, Gary Williams of Pinson and Kenneth Williams of Spring Creek; six sisters, Evelyn Wilbanks of San Francisco, Pearl Criss, Madelle Blasingame and Janette Parker, all of Jackson, and Thelma Overton and Helen Mote, both of Memphis; two brothers, John Henry Williams and Vandon Williams, both of Jackson; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
