James H. Begay, 48, of Hogback, went to join his Heavenly Father Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004, at Hogback. He was born April 17, 1956, at Shiprock.
He is survived by his daughters, Felicia M. Begay and Maria A. Godinez and her husband, Razo and their children, Alexandra, Augustine, Austine, Genevie and Sebastion, all of Ogden, Utah; son, Jimmy H. Begay of Ogden; wife, Nellie McKinley of Ogden; mother, Irene Begay of Hogback; brothers, Jerome Begay, Jonah Begay and Hollis Begay, all of Hogback and Raymus Begay of Albuquerque; sisters, Renita Lapahie of Farmington, Kerry A. Begay of Hogback, and Stephanie Dodge of Upper Fruitland.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy H. Begay.
A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., today, Friday, Aug. 13, 2004, at Brewer, Lee and Larkin in Shiprock. A viewing will be held from 9 to 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 13, 2004, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Shiprock. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. He will be laid to rest at the Shiprock Community Cemetery.
