Clara was a resident of Albuquerque and originally of Cuba, NM.
Clara was well known for quilting, especially making baby blankets. Clara loved to read her bible daily and go to church.
Clara was preceded in death by her husband, José Crespín, parents, Damian and Donelia Carbajal, sons, Albert Joe Crespín and Lee Padilla and Charlie Padilla, brothers, Amadeo Carbajal, Felipe Carbajal, Leonard Carbajal, Gilbert Carbajal, Rosendo Carbajal, Elisandro Carbajal and Amadeo Areno Carbajal.
Clara is survived by her son, Damian Padilla of Arizona, daughters, Esther Carrillo of Cuba, NM, Virginia "Gennie" Sánchez and her husband, Marvin of Albuquerque, and Linda Torrez and grandson, Alberto J. Torrez of Albuquerque, very close granddaughter, Daphnie Sánchez and her husband, Ruben of Cuba, NM, 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, brother, Max Carbajal, sister, Theresa Romero and numerous other loving relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held on Monday, July 9, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. at Eagle Rock Worship Center – 7518 Oakland Ave. NE, Albuquerque, NM with a devotional service to follow at 7:00 p.m. A second visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Guadalupe Hall in Cuba, NM with the funeral service to follow at 11:30 a.m. with burial to follow at Cuba Pentecostal Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Tony Padilla, Carlos Padilla, Leonard Padilla, Paul Carrillo, Dennis Carrillo and Alberto Torrez. Honorary pallbearers named are all her great-grandchildren.
