John Slack, 80, passed away early Saturday morning at the Morris County hospital. He was born May 14, 1891, near Council Grove and had lived in this area all his life, except for 15 years when he was in Washington.
He was a member of the Presbyterian church.
Surviving relatives include two sisters, Mrs. Edgar York and Mrs. Ruby Williams, both of Council Grove.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a-m., Tuesday, at the Kendall Chapel with Rev. R. G. Thomson officiating. Burial is to be in Greenwood cemetery.
