Mary Olive Dworak, age 85, of Kewaunee, died Monday,
Feb. 5, 2007, at the Kewaunee Care Center.
She was born Nov. 27, 1921 in Two Rivers. Olive married John Dworak on June 17, 1961 and he preceded her in death April 11, 1990. She was a very active member of St. Mary's Church at Tisch Mills, now St. Isadore the Farmer Parish, serving as a lector and member of the Rosary Society. She enjoyed visiting shut-ins, friends, and baking cookies for them and her family. A big part of her life was going out dancing.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Terry and Mary Daron, both of Kewaunee; two stepsons and daughters-in-law: John Jr. and Barbara Dworak, Two Rivers, and Lawrence and Cele Dworak, Kewaunee; one step-daughter and son-in-law: LaVyonne and Frank Bialek, Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister: Virginia Benzinger, Manitowoc, and her cat: Minnie; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces, nephews.
She was preceded in death by two step-daughters: Lida Hanson and Judy Dworak; one sister and brother-in-law: Eleanor and Dan Buretta; a brother and sister-in-law: Mark and Julia Mosey; and a special friend: Harold Sprang.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday (TONIGHT), at Buchanan Funeral Home, 1425 Ellis St., Kewaunee. A parish wake service will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
Visitation continues after 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007 at St. Isadore the Farmer Church at Tisch Mills. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. with Father Joseph Coopmans officiating. Burial will be in Tisch Mills Public Cemetery.
