Josephine Ida Meyers was born 20 Oct 1889 in Wood Lake, WI to Charles J Meyers of Sweden and Ida C Peterson from WI. She was the second child of 6 and moved to Spokane, WA before the age of 10. She grew up in Spokane and worked as a laborer in a factory until she met and married John Martin Prater 16 Jun 1916. Their only child, Helen Josephine Prater was born in 1919 and Josie became a homemaker to raise their daughter. She passed away in 1985 and is buried with John in Riverside Park in Spokane.
